Commissioned by Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart and premiered at two-day dance gala Eric Gauthier & Friends, (re)percussions features dancers Gilda De Vecchis and Eefje van den Bergen in a new duet choreographed by Jonathan, set to a new acousmatic composition by Nicholas.

(re)percussions explores the physical and spatial interrelationship of two bodies in space. Inspired by the nature of the octave—two pitches that in some sense seem the same and yet are not—the work plays with the transmission and reception of impulses, observes how these impulses resonate differently in each body, and considers the capacity for implicit communication between two people.
